Internet Explorer 7
Microsoft has delivered a new browser -- Internet Explorer 7. Styled after the very popular Firefox browser, IE7 offers tabbed features, a streamlined menu bar and better security.
Some of our customers have found that the menu bar is a little too streamlined and they cannot find the icon to read their email. In fact, this new version of Internet Explorer doesn't have an email button out of the box. You'll have to add this option yourself. The link below gives the simple instructions.

We also should mention that some web applications may not yet support Internet Explorer 7 and our customers who use heavy web based programs may want to hold off on this optional update.

Windows Vista will soon be available. Are you planning to upgrade your PCs'?
If you do, some of us might drop in to see what it looks and feels like, and what it took to upgrade.
HP published an interesting article called "Warm up for Windows Vista". It can be seen in their home site. E.
We are actually going to be upgrading some of the machines here in the office, a few of us have downloaded or used a version of the Beta Version of Vista. LTOL staff have also been to a number of the Microsoft seminars to preview Vista and to find out what is going to be needed. By all means drop by LTOL at any time during office hours and we will be happy to show you what is new with Vista
As a follow up, our FREE Class for Feb is going to be on Vista and the new Office 2007. If you have questions this would be a GREAT resource for you. Check the website after Jan 17th to see when the Vista class will be held. We are expecting a large turnout for this class so do make sure you make a reservation after the 17th. We already have 3 folks coming.
