Why Lake Tahoe On Line says you need a cat:

As many of you know that have been to our Truckee Airport Office we offer chocolate to our customers. It is in a big jar next to the printer. Well recently a field mouse has come into our office and has been helping himself or herself to the chocolate. Which of course our customers and LTOL do not really like as we want to eat the chocolate ourselves and are not really all that much about sharing with a rodent.

We also host for the Tahoe Truckee Humane Society (shameless plug, their website is www.hstt.org and see the cute critters they have to adopt.) We have hosted about 5 cats now and all but Pebbles have been adopted. Pebbles is the cutest all black cat ever, snuggles you, really what she wants is a home that she can find some sunlight to sleep in, cuddle in your lap while you are on the internet, and just be a cute house cat.

We have also found out that Pebbles is a Mouser. Darren, the Sr Tech here at LTOL suggested that we let the cat out during the evening hours to scare away the mouse. We were under the impression that with all the construction in the area, winter coming on, and that we leave the garage door open that is how the mouse got into the building. Well, after Veronica (The owner) gave Pebble salmon? Well, Pebbles decided that she liked salmon and she was willing to do anything to keep getting it. So, Sunday night, Oct 1st-Oct 2nd morning Pebble tracked down the mouse and left it for Darren and Veronica to find first thing in the morning when they arrived at work.
Today, Oct 2nd? Pebbles is the Employee of the Month at Lake Tahoe On Line. All of you that want to congratulate Pebbles on her new found standing just stop by LTOL between 9-5 to give her a pet.
